Ms. Mandanna said at times, as an actor, she would question some of Geetanjali’s actions and recalled the director, Sandeep Reddy vanga’s words, “this was their story…Ranvijay’s & Gitanjali’s..it was their love and passion, their families and their lives – this is who they are”.
She further remarked that Geetanjali is “the rock that weathered all storms…she would do anything in her power for the sake of her family”. The actress put out her thought on the character of Geetanjali as, “absolutely beautiful in my eyes, and in some ways she is like most women who are standing strong and protecting their families day in and day out”.
Animal bears all the essence of a Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie. The movie delves in to the complicated relationship between father and son, Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor) and, Ranvijay Singh (Ranbir Kapoor). In the intense action and revenge drama, violence, toxicity, and emotional upswings takes centre stage. Sandeep Reddy Vanga known for his raw portrayal of human emotions, extract it in this movie as well. Arjun Singh as a son seeking validation from his emotionally unavailable father and how it progresses to an obsession affecting his life, and changing his behavioural traits are captured in all intensity. Arjun handling the internal family politics, all and out fury and revenge seeking mode to protect his father, and his flawed relationship with wife Gitanjali (Rashmika Mandanna) are some of the angles the movie ventures into.
