'Wise Words Abroad, Silence Here': RSS Chief Faces Criticism Over Remarks Hailing India's Diversity
New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat recently hailed India’s diversity while speaking at a mega rally at Infosys Theatre in Madison Square Garden in New York.
The said unity in diversity is in Bharat’s DNA, while addressing over 6,000 members of the Indian-American community and interfaith leaders at the event. Bhagwat also emphasised the need to celebrate, respect and accept the diversity and pluralism, drawing applause from the audience.

However, the remark has sparked discussion in India, with many pointing out the irony in the RSS leader’s speech abroad and the organisations’ works at home. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Sunday criticised Mohan Bhagwat, saying that “words don’t matter” and that actions must speak.
Taking to his social media platform, Sibal said words don’t matter, referring to Bhagwat’s remarks in the US. “Bhagwat in New York: “Diversity is a decoration of our innate unity.
