Homebound, India’s official Entry For The 98th Academy Awards, Premieres On Netflix From Tomorrow

Homebound, India’s official selection for the 98th Academy Awards and a film that has resonated deeply with audiences throughout its theatrical journey, is now set to make its global streaming debut on Netflix. Beginning 21 November, viewers across 190 countries will be able to experience its powerful story.

Backed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, and co-produced by Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier, Homebound also features Martin Scorsese and Pravin Khairnar as Executive Producers.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film blends Indian storytelling with a global cinematic lens. It follows childhood friends Shoaib (Ishaan Khatter) and Chandan (Vishal Jethwa), whose shared ambition to join the police force profoundly shapes their lives.

Janhvi Kapoor delivers a moving performance that adds emotional depth to this story of friendship, duty, and the pressures facing young India.
