Hyderabad Police Arrests Aman Preet Singh, Actress Rakul Preet’s Brother, in Drugs Case

Rakul Preet Singh’s brother, Aman Preet Singh, has been arrested by Hyderabad Police in a drug case. According to the Hindustan Times, the arrest followed a joint operation by the Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police under the Cyberabad Police’s jurisdiction. However, the police said the actress has no connection with the case, and her name shouldn’t be dragged into the matter.

The police confirmed Aman’s arrest during a press conference on Monday, July 15. While five individuals were arrested for drug peddling, Aman was among 13 people arrested for consuming drugs and tested positive for cocaine. The police stated that he would be produced before a court soon.

A police official commented, “We need to investigate further to determine Aman’s connections. His association with the accused, including some Indians and Nigerians, might have started about a year and a half ago. Aman tested positive for cocaine use. He confirmed he’s an actor but didn’t specify if it’s in Tollywood or elsewhere.”

The Hyderabad Police clarified that Rakul Preet Singh has no involvement in this case. “She has nothing to do with this case, and her name shouldn’t be dragged into it. We are not investigating her,” the police said.

In connection with the case, the police seized 199 grams of cocaine, two passports, two bikes, and ten cell phones. Accused peddlers Onuoha Blessing, Azeez Nohaam Adeshola, Alla Satya Venkata Gowtham, Sanaboina Varun Kumar, and Mohd Mahaboob Shareef were arrested, while Divine Ebuka Suzee and Ezeonyili Franklin Uchenna have absconded.

The police identified 13 drug consumers from Hyderabad, highlighting their role in promoting a drug ecosystem in Telangana. Of these 13, five were apprehended and tested positive for cocaine.
