A video of actress Shruti Haasan being followed by a stranger in the airport has gone viral in the social media. The actress explained the incident when a fan enquired about it during an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram. “I felt uncomfortable”, Shruti Haasan opened up.

In a paparazzi video, Shruti was seen walking in the Mumbai airport. Shruti walked faster as she was worried when she spotted a stranger following her. She lost her cool and asked, “Who is he?” to the photographers. Shruti even tired to walk in different direction to avoid encountering the stranger. In the end of the video, the man approached Shruti from which she got irritated and said, “I don’t know who you are, Sir!”.

When the question was raised regarding this incident on Instagram, she said “Okay, I am glad you asked this question. I have no clue who he was. So, as I was walking, I noticed this person following me. Somebody in the bunch of photographers was like, “unke paas jao, are sharmaye kya, go stand next to her”. So I was like “who is it?”. Like obviously  he was a friend of one of the photographers but he was like super close, so I felt uncomfortable and I didn’t know him and I thought the photographer could tell me who he was. That however never happened.”

“Also, I don’t have any personal bodyguard because I don’t like it. I like to live my life as safely as possible, but this just got so blown out of proportion and I think that’s okay and my personal space is up to me,” she concluded.

In another video of the same day, Shruti was seen walking happily towards her boyfriend, doodle artist Shantanu Hazarika who came to pick her up at the airport.

Shruti was coming from Dubai after attending the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) which was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

Shruti Haasan’s latest movie Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire which is already generating significant anticipation will be on theatres soon. The cast also includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju.
