Karan Johar’s twins, Yash and Roohi Johar are celebrating their seventh birthday. Karan shared pictures of the Willy Wonka-themed celebrations. The filmmaker penned down a heartfelt note for his two little “brightest sunshines” on the occasion of their birthday. The celebrations at “Yash & Roohi’s Chocolate Factory” appeared colourful.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan wrote, “Happiest birthday to the brightest sunshines (x2) of my life! My life is forever changed, for the best with you two coming into it with your goofy and adorable laughs, unadulterated sass towards ME and of course – an abundance of love to give to the world! Never change…grow up but never change”.
He also expressed his gratitude towards his mother Hiroo Johar for being a “forever strength” of the family and for being a mother figure to Yash and Roohi.
The pictures included the Johars in purple co-ord sets radiating pure joy. In one of the picture Karan was also seen placing a loving kiss on his beloved mother’s cheek.

Karan Johar is a single parent, and welcomed his twins through surrogacy. He named his children Yash, after his late father’s name and Roohi, by jumbling letters of his mother Hiroo’s name.
Talking about being a parent in his autobiography, The Unsuitable Boy, Karan wrote, “I don’t know what I’m going to do about it but I feel like I would like to be a parent. I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I do feel the need because I have plenty of love to offer and I’d like to take it forward. This feeling needs a release and requires a platform. And that platform could be by being a parent”.
