The plot of Loveyapa revolves around Gaurav (Junaid) and Baani (Khushi), who wish to get married. But the story takes an unexpected turn when Baani’s father challenges the duo to swap their phones for 24 hours.
For the unversed, Loveyapa is the official remake of the 2022-released Tamil romantic comedy entertainer Love Today. Directed by Pradeep Ranganath, the film turned out to be a blockbuster at the time, earning over Rs 100 crore. And now, filmmaker Advait Jain has taken an interesting take on its scene-by-scene remake.
The film, which became a sensation on its release, also created trends of exchanging phones, which later emerged to be one of the biggest fears of modern times. And now it’s time for the concept to make waves in the Hindi film industry as well.

The concept was inspired by the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers (the OG from which Khel Khel Mein was remade). Just a year later, Pradeep Ranganathan, who directed Love Today and played the male lead, released a short film called App(a) Lock.
