As Thalapathy Vijay’s much-anticipated film Leo is about to release in theatres in few days, audience’s expectation is escalating every day. The trailer released on last week received rousing reception and fans cannot stop gushing about Vijay’s avatar in the film.

The advanced booking reservation has opened Leo”s overseas market in an unimaginable way. The reservation for Leo bookings in the UK has made the movie to grasp box office record in the Day 1 itself. With this advanced opening numbers, Leo surpassed Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan’s Day 1 box office collection, and turned as the largest grossing Indian film in the UK on Day 1.

Though the film is slated to hit theatres on October 19, the advanced bookings in UK has begun six weeks ahead the release. It definitely has boosted the pre sales of the film in UK. About Leo heading exceptionally well in overseas, trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the movie’s aggressive distribution strategy pulled off by Ahimsa Entertainment overseas. On X, he wrote: “VIJAY – ‘LEO’: MASSIVE RESPONSE OVERSEAS… #ThalapathyVijay’s latest outing #Leo is REDEFINING HISTORY in the #Overseas market… An aggressive distribution strategy [#UK and #Europe distribution by #AhimsaEntertainment] has set an ALL-TIME RECORD among #Indian films, dethroning #Pathaan in advance ticket sales for *Day 1*.”

Ahimsa entertainment also revealed that “15 rated version” of the movie will be released in UK.

The makers” social media promotion on the movie received well globally. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is bankrolled by SS Lalit Kumar”s Seven Screen Studio. Besides Vijay, the movie stars Arjun, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand and Mysskin, among many others. The music is scored by Anirudh Ravichander and its his third outing with Thalapathy after Kaththi and Master. Leo marks Sanjay Dutt’s debut in Tamil, and through the film, ‘star pair,’ Trisha and Vijay is reuniting after a gap of 14 years.
