Manhunt Intensifies In Tiger Shroff Firing Case

Three suspects in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai have been arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan, in a joint operation involving the Rajasthan Police and the Anti-Gangster Task Force.

The arrests came a day after motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at a car carrying the actor in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.

The suspects were reportedly travelling on a train from Mumbai towards Delhi when police intercepted them at Kota railway station. Investigators said they were allegedly planning to flee to Nepal via Delhi.

The accused have been identified as Phool Singh, 17, from Haryana’s Sonipat district; Rehan, 18, also from Sonipat; and Hrithik Kumar, 22, who is originally from Begusarai in Bihar and was living in Mumbai.

The three were apprehended following an investigation based on intelligence inputs and CCTV footage, according to reports.

Tiger Shroff escaped direct gunshot injuries in the incident. However, his driver, Firdosh, sustained a bullet injury to his left hand, while a passerby, identified as Umesh Charan, was also injured. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The firing took place near Pushpa Park in Juhu as the actor was leaving after attending a gathering. The assailants allegedly fired multiple rounds at the vehicle before fleeing on a motorcycle.

Mumbai Police subsequently launched an extensive investigation and registered a case against the unidentified shooters.

Investigators are also examining possible links between the suspects and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A social media message claiming responsibility for the attack has reportedly drawn the gang into the investigation, although police are still verifying the claims and the alleged motive.

The incident has also prompted tighter security outside actor Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area, amid reported threats against people associated with the actor.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said the police will pursue the investigation and take action against those responsible.

The arrested suspects are expected to be brought to Mumbai as the Crime Branch continues its investigation into the shooting, the alleged motive and possible links to a wider criminal network.
