‘Modern Masters’: Netflix Announces Documentary On Filmmaker SS Rajamouli (image-X/NetflixIndia)
The acclaimed filmmaker, SS Rajamouli, is known for his exceptional vision and storytelling in grand films such as the epic Baahubali franchise and, more recently, the globally acclaimed RRR. Ever wondered how the visionary created such great stories that shattered records and became a part of popular culture?
Not to worry, for Netflix, Applause Entertainment, and Film Companion Studios have partnered up for a biographical documentary on Rajamouli titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli.

The documentary will include an interview with the man himself, along with behind-the-scenes footage of his work. Presented by Anupama Chopra, the documentary will also feature renowned figures such as filmmakers James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar sharing their insights into the director’s life and work. Rajamouli’s industry friends and actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR, among others, will also feature, a Deadline report stated.
Sharing the exciting news, Netflix India took to X and shared a post with the caption, “One man. Numerous blockbusters. Endless ambition. What did it take for this legendary filmmaker to reach his peak? Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli, coming on 2 August, only on Netflix!”
