“My favorite from Dunki”: SRK Drops Song ‘Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se’
After the massive success of Pathaan and Jawan, fans are eagerly waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s third theatrical of this year – Dunki. Adding excitement to what the King Khan and the crew crafted inside the entertainer, the makers on Friday dropped the lyrical of its third song ‘Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se’. “My favourite from Dunki”, SRK described the song while taking it to his social media handles.
The song was sung by Sonu Nigam, to which Pritam set the music and Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics. The new track is bit emotional and talks about the feeling when one encounters while leaving the hometown and settling in a foreign country. The movie will hit theatre screens from December 21 ahead of Christmas.
As said by SRK, the song is too close to his heart. “Raju and Sonu seem to be my own people, and this song, composed by them, is also meant for those who are close to us”, wrote SRK while sharing the song. According to him, the song creates memories of “our families, our land and the solace we find in the lap of our country”. “We all sometimes leave our homes, villages, city to make a life…but in our hearts, we always live in our homes…we live in the country”, he added saying “Mera favourite from Dunki…”

T-Series took the song to YouTube and captioned, “The terrible sense of longing to return to one’s homeland never goes away”. “Witness Hardy, Manu, Buggu, and Balli’s dream to see their home and loved ones come true in the song”, T-Series added. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki features Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles and exemplifies a saga of “friendships, borders, nostalgia for home and love”.
Dunki, a Rajkumar Hirani directorial, was presented by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on December 21, 2023. It is a Hindi-language comedy-drama film based on an illegal immigration technique named “Donkey Flight”.
