Actor Ram Kapoor surprised fans with his impressive physical transformation. The actor revealed his weight-loss journey where within the span of 18 months, he lost 55 kg by following the ‘old-fashioned way.’
Posting two mirror selfies on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Hi guys, sorry for the slightly long absence from Insta was working on myself quite extensively.”

In an interview with ETimes, the 51-year-old actor shared that he simply changed lifestyle and habits without resorting to surgery or external help. At a time when speculations about several celebrities using weight loss drugs or undergoing surgeries, Ram Kapoor’s revelation is quite impressive.
“Believe it or not, I did it the old-fashioned way, by changing my mindset, lifestyle and habits, without any surgery or external aids. That said, there’s nothing wrong with medical options if they help someone,” he told ETimes.
The actor highlighted that for him, fitness wasn’t about a number on the scale but feeling strong, energetic, and healthy.
The actor recalled that he was his heaviest at 140 kgs while working on Neeyat (2023) and Jubilee (2023) and felt breathless after walking 20 steps. “I was diabetic, had a foot injury and struggled even with basic movement. It was then that I realised I couldn’t go on like this. I have two children, and I felt the need to set a positive example for them by prioritising my own health,” he said, as quoted by ETimes.

Since losing weight in the 50s can be challenging, Kapoor said that he wanted a ‘lifelong change’ instead of a ‘temporary fix.’ Instead of simply following a diet, he focused on fitness, diet, sleep, exercise routine, hydration and fasting intervals.
Ram Kapoor stated that he felt like his 25-year-old self again, physically, mentally, and emotionally. “I can walk for 12 hours without stopping. It’s a complete turnaround from where I was,” said Kapoor.
