Samantha Hails Mammootty Starrer ‘Kaathal’ ‘Movie Of The Year’

Mollywood Megastar Mammootty and Jyotika starrer ‘Kaathal: The Core’, released on November 23, Thursday, has garnered positive reviews from both the critics and audiences. Pan Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recently posted a story on Instagram showering the movie and the actors with compliments.

She wrote on her Instagram story, sharing the poster of the film, “Movie of the year. Do yourself a favour and watch this beautiful yet powerful gem of a film. Mammootty sir, you are my hero. I will not be able to get over this performance for a long time. Jyothika, love you,”. She also praised director Jeo Baby for his legendary directorial.

The movie ‘Kaadhal’ is making a huge hit in all regional film industries. The film portrays how a gay man struggles to reclaim himself.

In the film, Mammootty plays as Mathew Devassy, an independent candidate chosen by the left to contest local by-election. The movie revolves around Mathew and Jyothika who plays the role of ‘Omana’, his wife. The trailer of the film has revealed that the story will explore the legal troubles and family conflicts, particularly with his wife ‘Omana’. Besides Mammootty and Jyotika, Kaathal depicts a stellar cast involving Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandini, Sudhi Kozhikode, and Adarsh Sukumaran.

Meanwhile, Samantha is on a break from acting. Her last appearance was in the Shiva-Nirvana directed romantic drama Kushi, alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Her upcoming project is the Indian adaption of the international spy thriller series Citadel. Fans are eagerly waiting for the actress to return to the big screen.
