Renowned actress Shabana Azmi was recently honoured with the prestigious Freedom of the City award in London, given by the London Corporation.
Previous recipients of the city’s oldest award include respectable names such as Nelson Mandela, Florence Nightingale, Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill, Stephen Fry, and more.
Expressing her gratitude after being awarded the oldest award in London, Azmi wrote, “Overwhelmed to receive the oldest award of London, The Freedom To City Award given by London corporation.
