She’s Back In Black: Wednesday Season 2 Teaser Promises Darker Mysteries & Deadly Secrets
Netflix has officially released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday, and fans of the gothic teen sleuth can finally breathe a sigh of excitement.
Jenna Ortega returns in her now-iconic role as Wednesday Addams, and this time, she’s back at Nevermore Academy with unfinished business—and an even darker edge.
The second season of the smash-hit series will roll out in two parts, with Part 1 premiering on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 arriving on September 3, exclusively on Netflix.
The teaser opens with a signature Wednesday twist on a mundane scenario: a routine airport security check. Ortega’s Wednesday calmly begins pulling an impressive and alarming array of concealed weapons from her shoes and outfit, while the startled TSA agents watch in disbelief.

The only thing that truly unsettles her? A confiscated bottle of sunscreen, which she mockingly questions Thing (played again by Victor Dorobantu) for packing: “You know I only work in the dark.”
Fans are then reintroduced to Nevermore Academy, where Wednesday is dropped off by her parents, Morticia and Gomez Addams, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, respectively.
Morticia observes, “This is the first time you’ve ever willingly returned to a school.” Wednesday’s chilling reply? “It feels like returning to the crime scene… I know where the bodies are buried.”
She reunites with her werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair, portrayed by Joy Sunday, and gifts her a doll made entirely of human hair, setting the stage for more mayhem, murder, and mischief.
“Wherever there’s murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams,” Wednesday declares ominously.
The trailer hints at deeper family secrets and looming dangers. In a tense exchange, Morticia warns her daughter, “Every family has dark secrets that can have deadly consequences.” But Wednesday remains undeterred, replying with her signature deadpan confidence: “I do my best work in the dark.”
