Video footage showing Punjabi singer Karan Aujla being thrown shoe during a live show in London has gone viral. The video showed shoe being hurled at the singer by one among the audience, and hit him directly in the face.

Visibly angered, the singer immediately stopped the show and started searching for the person responsible for the attack. He was heard as saying, “Hold on! Who was that? I’m telling you, come up on the stage. Let’s settle this one-on-one right now”.  He also added, “I’m not singing that badly that you’d throw a shoe at me”.

Speaking to the wide audience, he said, “If anyone here has a problem with me, come up on the stage and talk directly… because I’m not saying anything wrong”.

 

The security personnel identified and arrested the man who had thrown the shoe. He was escorted out of the venue. The incident sparked outrage among and fans, concerns over the safety of the singer during live performances.

Aujla became even more famous with the release of ‘Tauba Tauba’ song from Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal. Recently, he announced that he is widening his It Was All A Dream World Tour to Jaipur and Kolkata, due to overwhelming ticket demands. It is his first arena tour in India, and is selling tickets on record breaking pace across the borders like UK, Canada, and New Zealand.

Bollywood Hungama reported that the Kolkata show will also serve a charitable cause, with ₹100 from each ticket sale being donated to a local NGO focused on women’s welfare.

Speaking to media, the singer shared his enthusiasm on the extension of his tour. He said, “I’m thrilled to bring my music to Jaipur and Kolkata…India has been incredibly supportive, and I can’t wait to connect with even more fans in these vibrant cities”.
