Aditya Narayan, Bollywood playback singer, television host and actor is now viral on social media for his apparent unruly behaviours with a fan at a music event at Rungta College in Chhattisgarh. The video widely shared on social media showed Aditya hitting a fan with his microphone, snatching the fan’s phone and then throwing it away into the crowd.

The incident took place at Rungta College in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. A video shows Narayan seemingly hitting a fan with his microphone. He then snatches his phone and throws it into the crowd.

Aditya is the son of the renowned singers Udit Narayan and Deepa Narayan. He started his career journey as a child artist and got fame as a host of reality shows such as ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge’ and ‘Indian Idol.’

However, following the incident, the singer is facing backlash on social media with people condemning his behaviour with the fan.  The reason for the singer’s sudden anger towards the fan who seemingly came near Aditya recording his performance is not known. When the fan came towards Aditya, he was seen hitting his fan and throwing his phone away after snatching it. He then resumed his performance at the Chattisgarh college. He was performing ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Don’ when the incident took place.

People wondered seeing the singer’s angry reaction with his fans. Aditya who has acted in some films and hosted many entertainment events has reportedly caught on similar reactions earlier too. In 2017, another viral video showed him quarrelling with an airport staff.

However, the video has received criticism, with one user reacting to the singer’s reaction saying, “What is wrong with Aditya Narayan? So arrogant and for what? Disrespectful towards his own fans?”

Another person, sharing the video commented that Aditya Narayan throws the phone off his fan and hits him with his mic. “That phone would be someone or his father’s hard-earned money. Really disgusting act by  Aditya Narayan.”
