Breaking records seem to have been part of the Hindi horror-comedy Stree 2 since its release. The Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer became the highest-grossing film of all time in India, confirmed Maddock Films. Surpassing records made by other major Hindi movies, the sequel has garnered Rs. 586 crores in its fourth week of release.
The sequel, directed by Amar Kaushik, created history in Indian cinema, entering the Rs. 600 crore club at the box office. Stree 2 became the highest grossing Hindi film in India, surpassing the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
Announcing the sequel’s achievement, Maddock made an official announcement on their social media handle and wrote “Woh Stree hai aur usne aakhir kar dikhaya… Hindustan ki sab se sarvashresth No. 1 Hindi film of all time!!! 🔥”

Reacting to the film’s box office achievement, netizens highlighted an interesting fact that Stree 2 is not an episode type of sequel, where the 1st part ends with a twist and continues in a second part but a sequel where the previous part officially ended and the second part started a fresh ride. Stree 2 is the fifth film in Maddock’s Supernatural Universe (MSU) and the sequel to the 2018 film Stree.
Moreover, the Sanick report also claims that the movie has grossed a total of Rs 798.7 crore worldwide. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, among others. Actors Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia also make a special appearance in the film.
