Even though it’s just been two weeks since its release, the conquering success of the horror comedy Stree 2 continues. The sequel is creating a different level of euphoria at the box office with the hike in the numbers every week. With more than Rs 400 crore collection, the Shraddha Kapoor starrer has emerged as a dominant at the box office in 2024. The film features an excellent cast including Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana among others.
Stree 2 has imprinted one thing: good content always survives through it all. Again creating history, at the end of its third week, the horror comedy has grossed Rs. 453.60 crore, becoming the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. It has surpassed the week two collections of major releases such as Baahubali 2, Gadar 2, Animal, and Jawan.

The trend has been nothing short of extraordinary. Having a great time at the box office, Stree 2 is set to enter into its third week with no challenges from other major releases.
Checking onto the week 2 numbers, Stree 2 garnered Rs 19.30 crore on Friday, Rs 33.80 crore on Saturday, Rs 40.75 crore on Sunday. The weekdays continue with Monday’s Rs 20.20 crore, Tuesday’s Rs 12.25 crore, Wednesday’s Rs 10.40 crore, Thursday’s Rs 9.10 crore. adding a total of Rs 453.60 crore. The week one secured Rs 307.80 crore while week two secured Rs 145.80 crore.

The film is part of Maddock Film’s larger horror-comedy universe – Maddock Supernatural Universe – which also includes titles like Bhediya and Munjya. With an ensemble cast and special appearances of Varun Dawn and Tamannah Bhatia, the movie has shattered the box office and ranked at the top above all other Independence Day releases.
