Bollywood star Salman Khan is the latest of the celebrities to shower praises on the film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ directed by Kiran Rao. Amazed by her directorial skills, Tiger 3 actor requests Kiran Rao to work with him too.
The comedy-drama has been garnering a lot of praise from actors and directors in the industry. Salman Khan after watching the film has now shared a warm review about the film on his Twitter account. On March 13, he wrote on X, “ Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah Kiran. I enjoyed it”.

He also added in his review that his father, the well-known scriptwriter and actor Salim Khan has liked the film. However, the Tiger actor has accidently called the film, Kiran Rao’s directorial debut. For the unversed, Kiran Rao made her directorial debut back in 2010 with Dhobi Ghat.
By asking “Kab Kaam Karogi mere saath? (Will You Work With Me)” the actor concluded his post.
Apart from Salman Khan, Tiger Shroff too has shared his review of the film by posting a video stating his thoughts on Kiran Rao’s directorial venture.
The Laapata Ladies revolves around an incident that occurs after a marriage. The story is set in 2001 in rural India, two brides get separated on a train journey and thus a police officer Manohar investigates the missing case.
The film received a standing ovation when it was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023.
Laapataa Ladies is co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions. Presented by Jio Studios, the film is scripted by Biplab Goswami. The movie was released on big screens on March 1.
