Hyderabad Man Finds Live Worm In Dairy Milk, Cadbury Responds

Robin Zaccheus, a man from Hyderabad took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of a live worm crawling in a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate that he bought from a metro station. Sharing the video along with the bill of Rs 45 on Friday, Robin said that he found a worm in Cadbury chocolate he bought from Ratnadeep Metro station.

“Found a worm crawling in Cadbury chocolate purchased in Ratnadeep Metro Ameerpet today. Is there a quality check for these near-expiry products? Who is responsible for public health hazards?,” Mr Bobin wrote in his X post.

The post went viral on social media, with many users urging Mr Robin to take action against the company. Some said it “a serious hygienic issues” that would be a potential threat to life. Netizens asked the Hyderabad man to sue the firm and claim compensation.

“Consult a good lawyer and file a case in the proper court, you may get a higher compensation. Compare company”s similar case compensations domestically and in other countries,” a user wrote.

Another user wrote, “Raise a grievance to the Cadbury team. Will come to collect the sample and investigate.”

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation also raised concern on the incident stating that the concerned food safety team have been alerted on the issue.

Cadbury Dairy Milk reacted to Robin’s post by expressing the company”s regret over the unpleasant experience and asking him to write to them about the issue.
