Several Hospitalised After Chlorine Gas Leak At Nagpur Water Treatment Plant
Nagpur, Maharashtra: Several people fell ill after experiencing coughing and difficulty in breathing, after alleged leakage of Chlorine gas at the water treatment plant in Godhani village in Nagpur.
According to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), the incident took place at around 1 am, triggering panic among the public. After the gas spread to nearby residential areas, several people were hospitalised in the region. At least four to five people were admitted to the ICU. Around eight to ten plant employees and 20 to 25 local residents were among those admitted to the hospital, according to a report by news agency IANS.
