All Banks To Remain Open This Sunday, Centre Approves RBI Order Ahead Of Proposed 3-Day Strike
New Delhi: All public sector banks and regional rural banks will remain open this Sunday, September 27, ahead of the proposed three-day nationwide strike starting September 28.
The Union Government notified that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved all bank branches, offices, ATM-linked branches and currency chests to remain fully operational on Sunday, so that customers can complete important services before the three-day shutdown.

The notification said that the move is aimed at safeguarding the banking needs of citizens by taking a proactive steps by the government, highlighting that all Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks will function normally on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
