Bengaluru: Depressed Man Kills Self, Two Minor Sons After Wife Elopes With Nephew
A man ended his life after smothering his two minor sons at Alkere village in Kunigal talk on Friday night. The man, a priest, was reportedly distressed after finding out that his wife, Kavya, allegedly eloped with his nephew after developing an illicit relationship with him.
The man had brought home his nephew after his elder sister’s death a few years ago. Anthem allegedly developed an illicit relationship with Kavya. The duo eloped after taking cash and jewelry from home.
The incident came to light on Saturday when neighbors found him hanging inside his house. According to the relatives, Shivanna and Kavya were married for 12 years and were reportedly happy. After her nephew’s arrival, Shivanna, catching their illicit relationship, had sent him away.
Though the police intervened and convinced Kavya to return home, Kava left the home with cash and valuables with Shanna’s nephew. Distressed, Shivanna killed his children and ended his life.
