Delhi Police Arrests Bibhav Kumar Over Assault Case Filed By Swati Maliwal

Delhi Police today arrested Bibhav Kumar, former personal secretary of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with the assault case filed by Swati Maliwal, AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP.

The AAP MP had accused Bibhav Kumar of physically assaulting, slapping and kicking in her stomach. The police had booked the AAP supremo”s PA under stringent sections of IPC. Notably, Bibhav Kumar has also filed a complaint against Swati alleging that the latter had abused him with the intention of assault.

However, the AAP leadership has stood with Kejriwal”s aide, claiming that Swati Maliwal conspired with the BJP against the Chief Minister. 

AAP Minister Atishi yesterday claimed that Swati is the face of BJP conspiracy against Kejriwal after the later accused the Chief Minister”s PA of physical assault. Atishi also showed the video of her sitting comfortably in the Chief Minister”s house to prove that there were no physical assaults. She further pointed out Swati abusing Bibhav Kumar in the said video. 

In a press conference today, Atishi further claimed that the “Anti Corruption Bureau of the BJP” had filed a case against Swati Maliwal on the illegal recruitment of contractual employees in DCW. She said that the convictions were awaiting the AAP MP and thus Swati Maliwal joined the BJP in the conspiracy against the Delhi Chief Minister and that the BJP blackmailed using the case. “How the entire machinery of BJP, from MHA to Delhi Police is working, was seen yesterday in Tis Hazari Court,” she said.
