An encounter breaks out between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, Police.

Kashmir Zone Police wrote on X handle: “Encounter has started at Parigam area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”

Following information on the presence of terrorists, police and army started a cordon and search operation in the Parigam area, officials said. At first, police says that there was a short exchange of firing between the terrorists and security forces consequently the cordon was tightened and search stepped up.

Official says that no casualities were reported till now.
