Chaos erupted at New Delhi Railway station on Saturday after the Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi did not depart from the station even after crossing the departure time of 7:20 am. This made passengers angry and when they enquired about the reason, they were left shocked. The authorities had failed to include an entire coach in the train.
The video that has surfaced on social media showed a large number of people confronting the Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel and other officials. Some of them commented that they were told that an executive coach was missing and that has caused delay.

As per the Indian Express report, the railway authorities had admitted to the error and said the executive coach was not attached to the train due to logistical oversight. They also added that efforts were underway to address the issue.
However, the passengers were disappointed by the inconvenience caused by the railway staff. “We have meetings to attend, such an oversight is unacceptable,” an area sales manager for Orkla Intl, who was going to Ludhiana, told the IE.

While another who had a business meeting at 12 pm in Ludhiana said, “How can they fail to attach a complete bogey? This needs an inquiry.”
“Most pathetic experience. Sitting in Amritsar shatabdi train. Not started yet. I didn’t know the exact reason but sources say because they are adding one more coach they have decided to punish passengers sitting in 15 coaches. @AshwiniVaishnaw @indianrail @NorthenRailway,” a user wrote on X.
