Firstpost did a video on the controversy surrounding Google Gemini after the AI chatbot reportedly responded to the prompt, “I’m alone with a Muslim,” with safety-related advice, including leaving the area or contacting emergency services if the user felt unsafe.
The controversy gained further attention after comparisons were made with Gemini’s responses to similar prompts involving people of other identities, including an Israeli person.
The report also highlighted criticism from Imam and scholar Omar Suleiman, who pointed to differences in the responses and questioned whether they indicated a possible bias in the AI system.
However, the reaction in First Post’s comment section was notably different.

Comments described the AI as being “correct”, called its response “truth”, praised Google and Gemini, and suggested that the chatbot was reflecting realities based on available data.
Several comments received significant engagement, with users expressing respect for Gemini and saying that the AI was “smarter than humans”.
One commenter argued that Gemini’s response was based on datasets containing activities associated with extremists and that the AI itself could not be blamed for the outcome.
Others suggested that the report itself had been generated by AI or that Google “never lies”.
The comment section largely moved beyond the AI response itself, with around 95% of the comments supporting the criticism and questioning how an AI system could produce such a response.
