"India Is Working On Its Goal For The Next 25 Years," Says PM Modi

While inaugurating the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gujarat”s Gandhinagar on Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledges that Central government is working towards the goal of making India a developed nation in the next 25 years. Several global leaders were present in the event and United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony.

“In the recent past, India completed 75 years of independence. Now, India is working on its goal for the next 25 years. We have the goal of making it a developed country by the time it celebrates 100 years of independence. Therefore, these 25 years is India’s Amrit Kaal,” The Indian Express quotes as Prime Minister is saying.

PM Modi added that this is the first Vibrant Gujarat Summit in the Amrit Kaal which makes it even more significance. The summit aims to advance important discussions and decisions in different sectors, including infrastructure, technology, innovation, and sustainable development.

Vibrant Gujarat is a biennial summit began in 2003 under the leadership of PM Modi when he was the Chief Minister of the Gujarat. The current summit has been organised after a gap of five-year, and last was in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year, the three-day event from January 10 to 12 marks the participation of 34 partner countries and delgates from over 130 countries. Among the 34, 21 partner countries are participating for the first time. The theme of the summit is ‘Gateway to the Future’, besides, it will celebrate “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success”.
