Man Arrested Minutes After Stealing Rs 4 Lakh From Nagpur Bank After Spraying Chilli Powder At Staff
Nagpur, Maharashtra: Police nabbed a robber on Friday, after he stole around Rs 4 lakh from a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.
The robber allegedly barged into the bank and threw chilli powder into the eyes of bank employees, and fled with Rs 4 lakh in cash. After the bank staff alerted the local authorities immediately, police reviewing the branch’s CCTV visuals to track the perpetrator’s movements and map his escape route.

Within minutes, the officials tracked down and nabbed him. They also recovered the entire looted amount of ₹4 lakh from his possession during the arrest.
The CCTV footage from inside the premises captured the suspect moving systematically across the floor, attempting to spray chilli powder into the eyes of every bank employee present to disorient them before grabbing the cash and fleeing the spot.
