Madhya Pradesh: The shocking murder of a 24-year-old MBA student in Indore has sparked nationwide outrage.
Police have arrested her boyfriend, Piyush Dhanotiya, in connection with the crime. The case has gained massive attention due to the disturbing details revealed during the investigation.
According to police, the victim, who was also an MBA student, went missing earlier this month.
Her body was later found in a rented room in the Dwarkapuri area of Indore on February 13. Neighbours alerted authorities after noticing a foul smell coming from the room.
Investigators said that Piyush Dhanotiya, who was in a relationship with the victim and studied in the same college, allegedly strangled her to death on February 10 after a dispute.

Police claim he tied her hands and legs, stuffed cloth into her mouth, and killed her inside the rented room.
During interrogation, police alleged that the accused stayed in the room after the murder, drank beer beside the body, and sexually abused the corpse.
Officials described his behaviour as “erratic” and deeply disturbing.
After leaving Indore, the accused reportedly travelled to Mumbai and stayed near Panvel. Police said he attempted to perform rituals to “summon” the victim’s spirit. He was later arrested from Andheri in Mumbai.
Authorities also revealed that after the murder, the accused allegedly used the victim’s phone to send a message to her family, claiming she would not return home. He then switched off the phone.

The case has triggered strong public reaction due to the brutality involved. During a crime scene reconstruction, the accused was seen smiling before cameras, further angering many people.
Police continue to investigate the case, including digital evidence and CCTV footage, which reportedly shows the couple entering the room together.
The accused is currently in custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
