Punjab Local Body Minister Says “Not In My Knowledge”: What Happened To This Story

We have withdrawn the actual news and the actual link after receiving a mail from Monika Arora, <ccu.cpjal@punjabpolice.gov.in>  of Punjab Police on February 7, 2025:

“It is submitted that the  link  (https://timelinedaily.com/india/balkar-singh-obscene-video-punjab-local-body-minister-says-not-in-my-knowledge) uploaded on your website, contain obscene videos/photographs of S. Balkar Singh, a leader of the Valmiki Majhabi Sikh (VMS) community in Jalandhar. These materials appear to be intended to provoke caste-based sentiments, incite public unrest, and disrupt public order.

In this regard, the Hon’ble Court of Smt. Harpreet Kaur, ACJM, Jalandhar, Punjab, issued an order dated 23-09-2024, directing the removal of specific links. A copy of the court order is attached to this email for your reference.

The links in question appear to be associated with the links mentioned in the court order and contain the same objectionable material related to the alleged obscene video of S. Balkar Singh.

Therefore, you are directed to remove these links within 48 hours. Failure to comply with the Honourable Court’s order will result in legal action as per the law.

Please treat this matter as urgent and take immediate action.”

To this mail, Timeline had responded on February 10, 2025 with this:

“Hi,

The said link only contains the news about the allegations and it has also given prominence for the minister’s reaction on the matter. And our link does not contain any video or screen grabs on the alleged video.
