“Udhayanidhi Did Not Call For Genocide”: MK Stalin Defends Son Over Sanatana Dharma Remarks

“Udhayanidhi Did Not Call For Genocides”, Stalin On Sanatana Remark Row

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin broke his silence over the Sanatana Dharma row. He commented it was unfair of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to target his minister-son Udhayanidhi Stalin with fake narratives. Senior Stalin posted the explanation on his social media handle X.

“Hon”ble Minister @UdhayStalin didn”t call for “genocide” as distorted by BJP, but only spoke against discrimination. Disheartening to see the “responsible” Hon”ble Prime Minister, Union Ministers and BJP Chief Ministers ignore facts and driven on fake narratives despite having all access and resources to verify the facts.”, he wrote

Udhayanidhi expressed his views on oppressive Sanatana principles that discriminate against the lower sections of the community and had no intention to hurt other religious belief, Stalin explained.

In the post on X, he alleged that the union ministers and other BJP ministers are trying to defame Udhayanidhi. Due to the spread of false claims a self- proclaimed seer has announced bounty on his head.

He has also pointed out that the prime minister has spoken out in the Parliament without proper fact-check and on the basis of a purported video clip of a Tamil Nadu minister EV Velu.

The DMK leader mentioned that the PM is trying to divert attention of the nation by invoking Sanatana. He quoted Mr Prakash Ambedkar’s question: “Sanatana Dharma believes in untouchability. How can we accept Sanatana Dharma? Does the PM have an answer?”

“BJP is trying to create divisions within the opposition alliance INDIA.”

“DMK’s ideals and goals are transparent and clear. We respect every individuals feeling, if BJP believes that they can tarnish the reputation of long standing party like DMK , they will find themselves sinking in that quicksand”, he added.
