Tobacco Businessman's Son Crashes His Lamborghini, Injures Several People In Kanpur

Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Shivam Mishra, son of tobacco business executive K Mishra, hit an auto-rickshaw, a motorcycle with his black Lamborghini around on VIP Road in Gwaltoli in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Sunday, February 8.

Mishra lost control of the speeding luxury car, hitting several people, including pedestrians, an auto-rickshaw, a motorcycle and an electric pole. As per the eyewitnesses, the situation turned chaotic as the crowd gathered at the accident spot smashed the window of the Lamborghin and dragged driver Mishra from the high-speed Rs 6-10 crore worth car as he allegedly tried to flee the scene.

Police have seized the vehicle and filed charges for rash driving as witnesses suspect that the driver was drunk. The business family had previously faced an income tax raid, leading to the recovery of cash worth Rs Rs. 11.5 crore in cash and luxury items.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Atul Srivastava said one person was injured and had been taken for medical treatment, adding that no written complaint has been received so far. Action will be taken based on the application received, the police said, noting that they are also verifying whether the person driving the car actually suffers from seizures.
