Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh: A woman has accused Sultanpur BJP MLA Vinod Singh and his gunner, Dhananjay Yadav of sexual harassment and an attempt to commit rape. In the viral video, the woman alleged that she was called to a house through the MLA’s gunner, where she faced physical abuse and an attempt to commit rape.

The woman alleged that the BJP MLA, while drunk, touched her private parts and tore her cloth. She then said that she and her minor daughter was threatened with acid attack. “Not just that, the police track my location and pass it on to the BJP MLA” the woman claimed.

The woman further appealed Uttar Pradesh chief minster Yogi Adityanath for swift intervention and a fair investigation in the case.

After the incident came to light through the viral social media post, it has triggered sharp reactions from political as well as civilian corners. In a social media post, Congress slammed the Sultanpur BJP MLA for ‘physically exploiting and intimidating’ the woman.

“This is BJP’s strategy, character, and face, where such beasts are plundering women’s honor under the swagger of power,” the Congress said, asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “are these your civilized people?”

The Congress then demanded strict actions against the MLA. “The strictest action should be taken against this beast, he should be sent to jail, but we know that ‘Modi’s family’ will welcome this monster by garlanding him,” the party wrote on X.
