Indian Forest Service (Main) Exam 2024: Submit DAF-I By September 5
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notice asking candidates to fill up the Detailed Application Form – I (DAF-I) for the Indian Forest Services (Main) Examination, 2024 by September 5 to 6 PM. The Preliminary examination of Indian Forest Services (IFoS) was held on June 16 and the result was announced on July 1, 2024.
Candidates who have qualified for the preliminary examination are required to fill up the DAF-I online and it has to be submitted in an online mode. Notably, candidates who have qualified for the IFoS have to register themselves on the upsconline.nic.in before filling up the form.
Candidates are advised to fill out the application form within the prescribed time limit and any delay will lead to the cancellation of the candidature for the IFoS Examination 2024.

While filling out the form candidates are advised to refer to the examination notice released by the UPSC. The notice mentioned, “refer to the EXAMINATION NOTICE No. 06/2024-IFoS dated 14.02.2024 and Rules of the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024 published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change dated 14.02.2024”.
UPSC also advised candidates to apply Online well in time without waiting for the last date for submission of online application.
As per the official notification, the UPSC IFoS Main 2024 exam is scheduled from November 24th onwards. The Main examiantion will have a total of 6 papers including General English, General Knowledge, and 4 optional papers of 1400 marks.
