The candidates have alleged that taxis were charging arbitrary fare to reach Pithoragarh from Tanakpur and Haldwani. Also, no proper arrangement was made for public transport. Also no arrangement was made for candidates to stay near the recruitment site and they had to spend night in open.
However, amid the influx of candidates for the ongoing recruitment rally, the district administration directed to closed all schools withing its jurisdiction to accomodate the candidates who came from other states.
Under the Territoral Army recruitment candidates who qualify in the physical and medical examination will appear for a written examination. The recruitment rally began on Nov 12 and will conclude on Nov 27 being held at Pithoragarh (UK), Sagar (MP) and Danapur (Bihar).
