Priyanka Gandhi Targets BJP Govt Over Delayed UP PCS Exam

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress general secretary has targeted the inability of the UP government under Yogi Adityanath to conduct exams on time and to not hear candidates’ demands regarding exams. Notably, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the state public service preliminary exam 2024.

The Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (Pvt.) Examination 2024 was scheduled to be held on October 27. Now the examination has been rescheduled and is expected to be held in mid-December 2024. This is the second time that the exam has been postponed. Earlier, the UPPCS exam was expected to be commenced in March and postponed for October. Now, it has further gone to mid-December.

While targeting the BJP ruling government in UP on social media ‘X’ Ms. Gandhi said, “UP PCS prelims exam was postponed for the second time. UP Technical Education Services-2021 exams were also postponed. Repeatedly postponing exams, ruining the future of youth through paper leaks and corruption has become the policy of the BJP government.”

She also raised the concerns of candidates protesting and demanding the conduct of UP RO/ARO in a single day instead of two days to avoid the normalization issue. “Competitive students are also opposing the proposal to conduct the UPPCS exam in two days. Their argument is justified that if the same exam is conducted in two days, then the game of scaling will start again under the guise of normalization”, she said.

The Congress leader attacked BJP government for putting inadequate efforts to provide employment and protection of their rights. “On one hand, BJP is ruining the future of the youth and on the other hand, by not providing jobs, it is snatching away the right to reservation from the backward, Dalits and the deprived”, Priyanka Gandhi wrote.

Also, candidates in UP are protesting against the decision to conduct the UP PCS RO/ARO exam over a day shift using a normalization pattern. Candidates are worried that this method will cause differences in the marks, which could put some candidates at a disadvantage.;
