UPPSC Disqualifies 899 Candidates For RO/ARO, Asst Registrar Post Due To Lack Of Documents
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has cancelled the applications of 899 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh University (Centralised) Service Assistant Registrar Examination 2024, Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Main Exam 2023, after the deficiencies in documents and eligibility requirements.
Out of the 783 applications cancelled for the selection of assistant registrars, 386 candidates were rejected because they failed to submit the hard copy of the online application form at the commission office by the prescribed deadline of September 8, 2025.
Another 380 candidates were disqualified as they could not furnish proof of a minimum of 7 years of work experience in any government office or university, which was a mandatory eligibility condition. The applicants were rejected due to the procedural shortcomings, officials said.
The commission provided the affected candidates an opportunity to file an appeal until 5 pm on Jan 21. Representations can be submitted to the secretary, UPPSC, either through registered post or in person.
As per the official, no appeal will be entertained after the stipulated date.
Notably, a total of 6,569 candidates applied for 38 posts of assistant registrar and appeared for the written test held on April 27 and 28, 2025. The commission is yet to declare the result of the written test. After the result is announced, the personality test will be held.
Also, UPPSC rejected the applicantions of 116 candidates for Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Main Examination 2023. Out of the total 69 candidates could not submit the main examination forms by the last date of Nov 7, last year. 4 candidates were declared ineligible as they attained the graduation or computer qualification after the cut-off date of Nov 9, 2023.
Likewise, 12 candidates were rejected due to invalid or non-submission of computer qualification certificates while 27 failed to produce the required reservation category certificates. These candidates were allowed to submit their representations until 5 pm on Jan 20 through registered post or personal appearance before the commission.
