SSC CHSL 2024: Application Process Begins For 3712 Posts

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for 3,712 vacancies under the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the SSC official website – ssc.gov.in. The last date to fill out the application form is May 7, 2024.

CHSL stands for Combined Higher Secondary Level which helps to recruit candidates as Group C posts for Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operators (DEO) posts for various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies and tribunals.

THE SSC CHSL exam takes place in three different stages and the candidates have to qualify for each stage to get shortlisted for the vacancies. The tier 1 and tier 2 exam is comprised of objective types of questions.

Reportedly, the SSC CHSL tier 1 exam will be held June-July. The dates of the tier 2 exam are yet to be announced. Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly to get information about the subsequent tiers.

SSC CHSL 2024: exam qualifications

To appear for the SSC CHSL exam, candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from an accredited university board. Different academic requirements apply to LDC/JSA, PA/SA, and DEO positions.

The minimum and maximum ages for each post vary, with 18 being the least and 27 being the maximum. Candidates in the reserved category get relaxation in the age eligibility criteria.
