In the last two months, a total of seven recruitment exams were postponed in Uttar Pradesh. After the announcement to put off of the RO/ARO preliminary examination 2023 due to the paper leak and the UP PSC preliminary exam 2024 in February, UPPSC has postponed the dates of four additional exams.
As per the official information the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the upcoming four examinations to be held in March and April. No further dates of examination were announced now and Virendra Mani Tripathi, deputy secretary, informed that the revised exam schedule will be announced soon.
The postponed exams including staff nurse Unani-Ayurvedic preliminary, staff nurse Allopathy main examination 2023, additional private secretary exam, assistant town planner examination- 2023. These exam were earlier scheduled to be held on March 22, April 7, April 9, and April 24, 2024, respectively.
However, no reasonable background has been suggested and the commission informed that the examination has been postponed due to some unavoidable reasons.
Reportedly, the UP police constable recruitment examination was also cancelled citing the paper leak on January 17 and 18, 2024. The recruitment board assured to conduct the exam within the next 6 months. However, in the recently postponed examination, no such time-bound announcement is made by the commission.
Meanwhile, the UP Public Service Commission has announced recruitment notification for a prospective total of 2535 posts for medical officers (2532 posts), social welfare (1 post), sugar development dept (1 post), and tourism directorate (1 post). The notification for the given vacancies is expected to be announced in March.
