UP Police Constable Test Cancelled After Paper Leak, Re-Exam Date Is…

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board or UPPRPB has announced that the UP police constable recruitment exam held on February 17 and 18 has been cancelled. Many candidates and political parties have demanded cancellation of the exam and a re-test after question paper leads was reported right after the board held the test last week. The official statement regarding the cancellation of the exam said they have asked the government to track down the real culprits of the paper leak and file FIR against them.

The UP police constable exam cancellation notice also said the re-test will be held in six months and the aspirants will be provided free transportation in the state government’s bus transport service.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took to X and mentioned the orders regarding the cancelation and re-examination. CM reiterated about zero compromise over the sanctity of examination and strict actions against the culprits.

The Uttar Pradesh Recruitment Board conducted an exam for 60,244 constable positions which saw over 250 candidates arrested for cheating during the examination, according to the official estimates.

Notably, a massive number of candidates, approximately 50 lakhs, registered for the exam. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) received the largest online registrations for the biggest bulk recruitments of the UP Police so far. The exams are being held at 2385 locations across all 75 districts of the state on February 17 and 18. Given the extensive applications, the test was administered throughout two or three shifts. The official earlier added that examining such a big scale will be a challenge for the administration.
