Kannur, Kerala: A relief for singles youths in the village, Payyavoor Grama Panchayat in Kerala’s Kannur district recently decided to arrange a mass wedding for both men and women of all castes and religions. The odd initiative by the Panchayat authority witnessed over 3000 men registering for only 200 women, local media, Mathrubhumi reported.

Notably, the authorities received applications from all districts of the state. Due to the excess of men registration for fewer women who have applied for the wedding, the officials have decided to stop receiving further applications from men while opening the window for women to register.
