"Amongst Most Beautiful Villages On Earth": Anand Mahindra About Upcoming Trip To Kerala's Kadamakkudy

Ernakulam, Kerala: Mahinda Group Chairperson, Anand Mahindra, is all set to visit Kadamakkudy Islands, a cluster of scenic island in the suburb of the city of Kochi in Kerala. Announcing his upcoming plan, the businessman called Kadamakkudy “amongst the most beautiful villages on earth” as often listed.

In a social media post, Anand Mahindra said he wanted to realise his bucket list trip in December this year, since he scheduled a  business trip to Kochi.

“Kadamakkudy in Kerala. Often listed amongst the most beautiful villages on earth… On my bucket list for this December, since I’m scheduled to be on a business trip to Kochi, which is just a half hour away,” the businessman wrote on X.

 

Around 15 kilometers from the busy city of Kochi, the islands offer a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life, in the nearest place. The cluster of islands, consisting of fourteen in total, includes backwaters, paddy fields, fish farming, toddy tapping and other rustic village scenes and activities. The villages thus enable visitors to experience the rhythms of rural life.

Visitors can engage in activities such as fishing, toddy tapping, and prawn farming is like painting vivid strokes on a canvas, exploring the rustic life. The Valiya Kadamakkudy, along with its companions like Murikkal and Palyam Thuruth, are the most notable Islands in the Kadamakkudy village.

The post-monsoon season is the best time to visit the Islands, especially from October to March, making the weather most appropriate to explore the destination. The island is easily accessible as it is linked by road to Varappuzha town on the National Highway-66.
