Congress Complaints Trigger Probe Into RSS Leader TG Mohandas’ Controversial Remarks
Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has ordered a police probe into controversial remarks allegedly made by RSS leader T G Mohandas against protesters who took part in the Jantar Mantar demonstration in Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged NEET question paper leak irregularities.
The action followed complaints from several political leaders regarding Mohandas’ remarks. The Home Minister’s office said Cyber Cell IG P Prakash will investigate the complaints.

The controversy erupted after videos allegedly showing Mohandas making inflammatory comments during a YouTube discussion went viral on social media.
In one video, Mohandas was heard saying that if he were responsible for handling the Jantar Mantar protest, he would have imposed a curfew in the area, issued warnings to protesters to disperse, and then ordered firing if they failed to comply.
“The crowd would be asked to disperse. The announcement would be made three times through public address systems. Then, there would be firing,” he was allegedly heard saying.

In another video, Mohandas allegedly made remarks about women protesters, saying, “Rapes and murders will happen. There will not be rape complaints, because they like rape.” The comments triggered widespread criticism, with many accusing him of making misogynistic and offensive statements.
Responding to the backlash, Mohandas claimed that his remarks were satirical and had been taken out of context through selective editing. He alleged that a short clip from his longer YouTube discussion was circulated to create a controversy.
He also claimed that Malayalam satire and expressions often lose their intended meaning when translated and accused certain media platforms and social media accounts of selectively sharing the footage.
The controversy arose after a protest at Jantar Mantar organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which demanded accountability for alleged exam irregularities, including issues related to NEET.
