Left Outfits Organise Beef Festivals, Serve Dish In Protest Against 'The Kerala Story 2' Film
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Left organizations, including the ruling CPI(M) government’s youth wing DYFI, and its student wing SFI, have served beef along with parotta in protest against the upcoming film The Kerala Story 2, which allegedly portrays the state in negative cues linked to forced beef serving to Hindus.
The movie trailer, which was released recently, depicted a Hindu woman being force-fed beef, sparking widespread outrage among the people in the state against the ‘false’ portrayal of the Kerala.

The protesters say that The Kerala Story 2, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, spreads misinformation and communal hatred about the state by alleging forced conversion and beef feeding, asserting that the incidents as portrayed in the film do not occur in the state.
The protest events were held across the state on Friday evening, including in the capital Thiruvananthapuram, where organisers served beef with parotta, a popular combination among Keralites.

As the movie is scheduled for release on February 27, Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan alleged that it was made with the “intent to spread hatred against the state and undermine its secular tradition, while calling for collective rejection of the film.
