Police Arrests 23-year-old Woman For Alleged Sexual Abuse Of Minor Girl In Kannur
Taliparamba, Kannur: Police on Friday arrested a 23-year-old woman, Sneha Merlin, from Taliparamba in Kannur for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor girl. The victim, a 12-year-old girl, revealed the shocking details regarding the rapes and sexual harassment she suffered.
A police team led by Thalassery Police Circle Inspector Shaji Pattery arrested the accused. The incident came to light during a counseling session by the child line officials after the teachers felt suspicion about the girl’s behavior.

The teachers discovered a mobile phone from the minor girl, which contained suspicious information and thus informed the parents. The parents then brought the child before child line as per the directions from teachers.
Police arrested the accused woman under the POCSO act for sexually abusing the minor girl.

The victim had revealed that the accused gifted her several valuables. Apart from the minor girl, Merlin has sexually abused another 14-year-old boy, as per reports from Malayalam channel, Media One. The woman also threatened the boy with the visuals she filmed, asking him not to disclose the incident to anyone.
