Bhrij Bhushan Singh’s Son Karan Bhushan Singh Clinches Victory In Kaiserganj

Continuing the family legacy, Karan Bhushan Singh claimed the Kaiserganj seat for BJP with a margin of 1,48,843 votes. He got a total of 5,71,263 votes and the Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate got 4,22,420 votes. Karan Bhushan continues the family legacy at BJP stronghold.

Karan Bhushan Singh, the BJP candidate, is the son of former Kaiserganj MP Bhrij Bhushan Singh. Bhrij Bhushan was replaced by Karan Bhushan amidst the accusations of sexual harassments from the women wrestlers against the former.

Bhagat Ram, the SP candidate who came second has grass root connections and the party’s efforts to consolidate the votes by raising the allegations against Bhrij Bhushan Singh went in vain as the results were declared on Tuesday.

Bhrij Bhushan Singh was earlier elected as MP in 2004 with an SP ticket. Bhrij Bhushan Singh won the constituency in 2014 and 2019 on the banner of BJP. He won with 40.44 and 59.24 percentages of vote share respectively. SP was second by securing 32.15% vote share in 2014. BSP was second with 32.58% vote share in 2109.
