History Will Repeat Itself: Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh

Talking to the new agency PTI, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh today said that the history will repeat itself. “Tiger Zinda Hai!” In 2003, we lost Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh but in May 2004, the Congress formed the government (at the Centre). History will repeat itself,” Jairam Ramesh said.

He was responding to a question from a reporter asking him whether the Congress party losing the 2023 Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will have an impact on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections or not.

Indian National Congress has faced both success and failure in India’s electoral history.

However, the grand old party has on several occasions in the past revived itself from the defeat it suffered. The party with workers in every nook and corner of the county hopes to wrestle power from the ruling BJP in the upcoming general election, which is expected to be held this year. The party today launched the iconic Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra aiming to bring back the debilitating ethos of the party workers.
