‘If BJP Wins, No More Elections In Future’: Nirmala Sitharaman’s Husband Parakala Prabhakar

Edited by Hiba Anvar

Political economist and husband of Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Parakala Prabhakar said that if Bharat Janata Party comes into power after the Lok Sabha polls, there will be no more elections in the country.

Prabhakar in a video shared by Congress is heard saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give a hate speech from the Red Fort and a situation like Ladakh-Manipur will then arise in the country. He in the video further alleged that the Constitution and the map of the country will also be changed.

Citing the hate speeches propagated by the saffron party, the economist alleged that now these slogans like ‘isko Pakistan jaane ka hai, jane do’ (If they want to go to Pakistan, let them), will be heard rising from Red Fort in Delhi.

The economist said that this hate speech will be given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and “it won’t be subtly or silently”. The hate speeches will be ‘Khula Khel’, the economist added.

If Modi returns to power, the unrest that has gripped the state of Manipur due to the ethnic clash between the Kuki and Meitei communities will become normal across India, said Parakala Prabhakar.

Earlier in March, Prabhakar while speaking to a television news said that “electoral bond scam is not just the biggest scam in India but the biggest scam in the world”.

“After electoral bond corruption became public, now the fight is not between two alliances but between the BJP and the people of India,” he added.

Meanwhile, last month, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman turned down BJP president JP Nadda’s offer to contest the Lok Sabha election from Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu citing that she did not have the funds to contest the polls.
